Alvaro Siviero and Kornel Wolak perform Brahms and Schubert
The pianist and the Polish clarinetist make innovative reading of the sonatas by Brahms and Schubert
On October 9, 2011 at 11:30am at the Centro Cultural São Paulo, Siviero performed a recital more than exciting. The repertoire of the program consisted of works, as it happens when talking about chamber music, that made the audience notice the richness of sound produced by the combination of the piano and the clarinet, played with precision by the skilled Polish clarinetist Kornel Wolak, who expressed subtle and refined musical ideas.
For his debut on Brazilian soil, Kornel Wolak interpreted the Arpeggione sonata, by Schubert, and the Sonata n.1 in F minor, Op.120, by Brahms. With an intimate atmosphere, the works performed made the audience experience moments of 19th century.
"Being invited to participate in a presentation with the clarinetist Kornel Wolak is an honor. I am very excited about the opportunity," says the pianist Alvaro Siviero. "I hope all you enjoy the intensity of the Sonatas to be performed."
